NEW MUSIC OUT NOW
Strange Bird
WITTMAR's debut album Strange Bird is a colorful musical journey between melancholy and euphoria. It's a celebration of the odd, that which doesn't quite fit in, and the beauty of daring to stand for - and be proud of - one's entire range of human emotions.
Kelowna
The song Kelowna was written by the band´s bass player Edvin. It was sprung out of an experience he had when he came across an old abandoned church, driving through a forest fire in Canada. He later found out that the church was built on top of an Indigenous American burial site.
The song is a meditation on the damage done and being done to indigenous people all over the world.
One Day
From the very first notes, the song draws us into its stripped-down beauty. Marika Wittmar lays her soul bare. Her voice is a powerful instrument, capable of conveying both vulnerability and unwavering resolve. It’s as if she’s inviting us into a sacred space, a place where dreams and anxieties intertwine.
